2019 Setting the Standards Focus Group – Sydney
May 22 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
We want you to help us shape the Standards of L&D in Australia…
The Institute for Learning Professionals has been operating since 2007. Our purpose is to foster excellence in the learning and development community.
In 2018 we launched the Learning Success Blueprint Framework (“The Framework”). The Framework was developed as a way to capture the skills and behaviours that learning and development (L&D) Professionals require for long term success within the industry, defining the core attributes of an effective L&D Professional across six dimensions and describes 23 fundamental behaviours that underpin these.
Our industry is changing – from greater recognition of the value of the learning and development function within organisations and an increase in the number of learning professionals joining the industry to the rapid change in the way people learn and the technology available to share knowledge.
We believe now is the time to set the standard for what a learning professional should aspire to, and with the support of our members, we want to develop the Standard for Learning and Development in Australia, that encompasses all L&D skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours.
Whether you work for an in-house/corporate L&D team, are an independent consultant, work in a consulting firm or an RTO, we value your expertise and experience and seek your input to ensure we can continue to serve the learning and development community into the future.
If you want to have input into the development of our industry standards, we want you in the room!
